Gracie has settled well and her delux whelping pen is now set up and ready for her. Comfort and safatey of the pups is a priority and the whelping box has attachments to stop Gracie rolling on her pups by accident if needed. A nice warm lining of Pro Fleece to keep mother and babies warm and comfortable and Gracie is being given time in the pen to become used to it prior to the birth.
Gracie is quite restless tonight and has been doing some nesting. The Vet is now on standby just in case.
At approximately 9:10pm the first of Gracies pups was born. A black boy who is healty and now feeding well.
Approx 11:10pm the 2nd baby - a little girl has arrived...
