Liver cake recipe

Post by labradora »

Hello all,
I seem to remember that Debbie (Coco Bean) makes liver cake treats for Coco and Kinder.
Inca has recently developed epilepsy at the age of twelve and a half, and blood tests have shown that she is also anaemic. :cry3:
I would love to be able to make her some, so would be grateful for any recipes people may have.
Many thanks,
Linda and Inca xxx

Hi Linda

Type in liver cake for dogs
Look for liver cake recipe for dogs website bishopton dog walking services
It should come up with the recipe I use

If you go into menu top right

It's a great site for recipes

Let me know if you can't find it and I will type it up for you

I also just fry liver and cut it into small pieces for our walks Mischievious Coco would never run away and is always in my sight but when the leads come out she wiggles her bottom as if to say you want me on that thing you gonna have to get the treats out  so mischievous

Big hugs to you and Inca, Linda.

Here's a recipe from a little recipe book that Rescue put together a few years ago. There's a doggy treat Section in it, so here it is...

1lb liver - any kind
2 eggs
12oz S/R flour
3/4 cloves garlic
1/2 pint water or milk

1. Blend liver in a food processor until mushy.
2. Add eggs and garlic, and fold in flour, then add liquid.
3. Grease a Swiss roll tin with oil and spread mixture thinly.
4. Bake at 180 degrees for about 30 mins or until firm to touch.
5. Allow to cool then cut into small pieces.

It's freezable, so you may want to divide into the amounts you need and thaw as needed. Inca will love it!
