Today would have been George's 8th Gotcha Day instead it's almost 6 months since he died so suddenly. I still look at his photo and I honestly can't believe that this gentle soul isn't just in the next room or lying in the garden. We were so lucky to adopt George, we've had labs for well over 30 years but George took lab owning to another level. Wherever we went his handsome face and intelligent human loving temperament would draw strangers in, we had never experienced anything like it with our other labs. At home he brought so much love and happiness, making us laugh everyday. George and I had a unique bond he just knew what I was thinking, even before I did. He was always by my side so you can imagine how much I miss stroking his velvet ears and kissing that gorgeous face.
So my darling boy we miss you more each day, to say I'm still heartbroken is an understatement.
Adoption Day 14.5.2009 George's first photo on arriving home aged 10 months.

Having a cuddle with my gorgeous boy.

George had the best ears so soft.

16th September 2017 George was rushed to the vets as an emergency but had recovered by the time we arrived. This was taken by the vet nurse as she said he was in superb condition, 8 yrs old and not one grey hair. She put it on their Facebook page as Pet of the Day, a few hours later we were told he didn't have long to live.

Just 3 days before he died, he looks in such good condition and had been out for a lovely long walk.
