My dog is always with me, she watches me night and day
She likes to keep an eye on me in case I go away
She wakes me up quite early, alarm clock I non't need
She says "I waht to go outside and then I'll have a feed".
She watches me eat breakfast, in case there's some to spare
It never lands upon the floor, she catches it mid-air
At lunchtime she is there again, she's good at looking glum
She look's up with those big brown eyes and says "well, where's mine Mum?"
She always says she's hungry, I know she's telling lies
I try to feed her 'by the book' but you should see her size
I try my best to check her weight, so that her heart doesn't strain
I listen to the Vet's advice but, she thinks he's a pain
I often wonder what she thinks when she look up at me
Is she saying "I love you" or "Is it time for tea?"
Although she drives me up the wall and leads me quite a dance
With her I'm never lonely, she doen't give me the chance.
