We are constantly up against people who want to dispose of dogs by dumping them I have no doubt in my mind that should Jet have gone to the stray kennels she would have been PTS ....owners dont realsie this they think someone will take on the problem in a nieve way but not many rescues would put up to a thousand pounds on the line for one dog easier to pretend and the problem go away euthanasia over in seconds...job done problem solved but Jet is a shining example of a determined dog she has lived with a disbility against all odds so surely we as a caring rescue will help her and thank God for the website and dare I say it ....Ian with his magic touch her plight was brought to peoples hearts and people have given to help her to preserve rescue funds
Today someone knocked on our door and gave us fifty pounds they had four numbers on the lottery and read the plight of Jet and wanted to help this made me feel so humble and forever grateful to our wonderful webiste and our trusty Webby.

Jet is now at home and if i must say no worse for wear after her operation but this doesn't surprise me as she had made herself extremely comfortable in the vets office, she has also spent the morning in the staff room being made a fuss of. I am sure Sue was reluctant to hand her over and it felt like ages waiting for the call to collect her.
The vet totally agrees with me that she has not met a more beautiful dog, her tempremant and nature is outstanding and still cannot beleive that someone has cared so well for her then to turn round and dump her. She has even been trying to persuade one of the other vets to take her home.

Her operation went well though, she has managed to sew her "third eye" back into place she was slightly worried that the posistion might block the pupil in her left eye but this seems to be fine. She looks a little bit different though but saying that her eyes are a little bit swollen so that will go down in a day or two.

She is now on antibiotics, painkillers and some more eye drops but this is just for the week, she will have to go back in 10 days time for a check up, then hopefully someone very special and it needs to be someone very special (this is my stipulation....sorry Glenys!!!) will come forward to love this little girl and in return you will get that love back a thousand fold.

Will keep you posted over the coming weeks on how she is doing.

I don't want to take any photos till her eyes are less swollen but I promise I will post some.

That's such good news. I don't know how you foster these lovely dogs and let them go, it's obvious how much you care. I'm sure you will find a special home for Jet, I'm sure there is someone holding out for the 28 day deadline to pass.
