The second brother married a woman from Middlesex. He gave his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, cook all the meals and do all the washing up. The first day he didn't see any results, but the next day things were slightly better. By the third day he saw the house was clean, there was a huge meal on the table and the pots and pans were clean.
The third brother married a Yorkshire lass. He ordered her to keep the house clean, wash the dishes, mow the lawns, wash the laundry and make a cooked breakfast and evening meal. He said the first day he did not see anything, the second day he still didn't see anything but by the third day some of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye, and his arm was healed enough so that he could fix himself a sandwich and stack the dishwasher!!
