Just been out for a walk with Alfie and let him off the lead. He is getting really good at coming back when you call his name. However, if there is another dog or people around he tends to go a little bit deaf. Today he ran towards an elderley couple, I called him several times but he chose to ignore me, the couple didn't fuss him but went over to a small bench to sit down. Alfie then went behind them and cocked his leg down the mans back!!!!!
If anybody else was telling this story I would probably laugh
Bought some liver this evening to make livercake.
Someone told me that I should keep a toy in my pocket that squeaked and everytime Alfie started to approach other people I should squeak it.
Going to try and see if either or both of these methods work.
Sorry Bev I know shouldn't laugh! I would have been mortified too!! Millie has just started doing something equally embarrassing - pooing up people's driveways when out on a walk . She could have been off the lead for 20 mins in a field but no, saves it up and on the way home that's what she does - it's awful! I always clean up after her but I would just die on the spot if the homeowner was stood in the window.

I wish everything in life was as lovely as my Labrador
Bev, I take it the man on the bench didn't know he'd been peed on?

Bailey did something similar when he was out with me on Sunday.
Off out to see his dad who had been fishing on the local pond, as there are quite a number of fishermen dotted on various pegs, a quick sniff round to see if his dad tucked away in the bivvi.
Anyway two blokes were packing their gear away, said morning "have you caught anything" a little bit of chit chat.......next thing Bailey cocks his leg up and pee's, all over the guys ruck sack..... it wasn't funny I was mortified and beleive me the bloke wasn't happy either....I could do nothing but stammer an apology.
But he's never pee'd on anybody though. Must admit if I had seen Alfie in action whilst walking my dog in the same area i think I would have found it funny also. Sorry
