My forever friend
There's something missing in my home
I feel it day and night
I know it will take time and strength
Before things feel quite right
But just for now I need to mourn
My heart it needs to mend
Though some may say it's just a bird
I know I've lost a friend
You brought such laughter to our home
And richness to our days
A constant friend through joy or loss
With gentle loving ways
Companion, pal and playful friend
A friend I won't forget
You'll live forever in my heart
My sweet forever pet
See ya later Earl.

Lins, Dave and Molly I'm so sorry to hear about your beloved Earl and because he was such a huge character and a presence who could not be ignored in your home he will be sorely missed.
Your poem is a lovely tribute to the bond that you all shared with Earl and the words are so meaningful. I know you've got so many happy memories and, like you say, they will stay with you forever.

Lins I am sorry to hear of the loss of Earl. He was such a character, I loved to hear about his antics. whenever I heard a parrot joke I always thought of Earl. I know he will be so missed by You Dave and Molly. Do you know how old he was Lins?

Miss him like hell Kath. He was only 16 which means he was only a baby considering they can live to be 60 or 70.Diesel Kate wrote:Lins I am sorry to hear of the loss of Earl. I bought him a new cage about three weeks before he died costing £200 but I would pay the earth to have him back.
Thanks for your kind words. x
