We stayed here a while ago with our Golden Retriever - we were met by the owners who immediately told us not to bother with a lead if the dog didn't need one (which he doesn't). They have several labs and other dogs roaming around - a little black lab girl adopted us and basically moved into our cottage with us! Lovely spot right by Hadrian's Wall, great walks etc - just be cautious if your dog is a chaser as there are lots of ducks etc, as well as sheep.

As we all have dogs and may want to take them with us... have you any suggestions for holdiay destinations etc that are dog friendly and where you had a great time?
