Dog friendly dining pub suggestions!

Post by Emma T »

Hi all

Thought I would start a thread where people can share details of pubs where you can enjoy a good meal and your dog is welcome! Preferably at the end of a lovely walk too! :1944:

Here are a couple of suggestions

The Pheasant- Buwardsley nr Tarporley Cheshire. Good food, great beer, quite expensive though. But very welcoming of dogs and walkers and situated in fabulous walking country, sandstone trail etc, beautiful views too, lovely spot.

The Sole Bay Inn, Southwold Suffolk. Fantastic fish and chips, fab Adnams ales and dogs most welcome. Nice walks on the beach. A beautiful part of the country for a holiday (but I am biased as I am from Suffolk :1941: !)

So let everyone know your suggestions whether they are local to you or in a holiday spot! :bounce:

Great walk from Whitby to Sandsend along the beach, and then into The Hart for lunch - dogs admitted and when we were there over new year, the staff gave Meg some beautiful home cooked ham :1941:

The Wainwright Pub in Little Langdale! :1944:

Brilliant pub, good food and dogs welcome after a very long walk!

Also the Climbers Bar at the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel.

Both in the Lake District...

The Pheasant Inn is brilliant too! :1945:

The sun inn in Kirkby lonsdale is brilliant, 5 star inn and they welcome dogs into the bar, they serve the same menu in the bar as in the restaurant. Friendly staff and open fires. Also plenty of places to walk the dog.
