Pip update - operation results

Post by Debsalabradora1 »

Hello everyone,
I really wish that what I'm about to post could be different. The results are back and the growth (very different to her other lumps and bumps) was malignant. Her wound was still a little swollen, so the stitches were not removed today as planned (so racing around after her doggie frisbie is postponed for now). We are back again on Monday to see our usual vet and discuss things. Pip's skin is not too good at the moment - she has more lumps/bumps (hopefully not nasties) and her skin is breaking down in places - some of this is likely to be related to the stress of the op and the anaesthetic etc. As usual, she seems to carry on regardless and I'm absorbing her positive energy and remain hopeful that at some point things will improve for my little sweetheart. :love2:

I am so sorry to read this about Precious Pip. Bless her she is a really valiant girl by the sound of it, all the things she puts up with and staying happy by the sound of it. You must be so stressed yourself, I also have to thank you for all you have done and are doing for her. You are enabling her to enjoy life as much as she can and to have lots of love. Will be thinking of Pip and yourself for Monday and on-wards.

I know that fairness doesn't come into it Debs.. but.. it seems GROSSLY unfair that sweet darling Pip should been given this diagnosis. Such a lovely girl, continuing to meet each challenge with such bravery and stoicism. I really do hope that she can overcome all of these health issues.

I'll look out for updates next week. Fingers doubly crossed!
