Ready for a new best friend

Post by Sbibby »

Hi all,
We are stu and Paula and we are ready to give a home to a new best friend.
Our special girl left us two years ago and she took something of us with her. At one point between us and our live mum in law we had four dogs and a cat. But sadly all but one have now passed over.

But here we are looking for a lab to make some treasured memories with. We didn't want to support a breeder by buying a puppy this time as there are too many dogs having to be rehomed, given up or worse.

Someone once said to me there are dogs and there are labradors.

We want the labrador friend everyone.

Thanks for reading
Stu and Paula

Hello Stu and Paula and welcome to this fantastic Rescue's Forum. Sorry to hear that you have lost all your pets except one, it's so hard when they leave us I lost my "special" Lab Rescue boy, George, two and a half years ago aged only 8 yrs and he's still missed so much.

Glenys and her team always have gorgeous labs coming through the Rescue and they are excellent at matching dogs and families. The first step is the application form and home check and then keep in touch with Rescue as your application is processed. They are all volunteers with families, their own dogs etc etc so you do need to be patient BUT it is all worth it in the end. I hope you've found this post informative and I apologise if you are already aware of all I've said.

Good luck with your search I hope you find your new friend soon. Please let us know how you get on.
Joan and George x
