Re: Madison
Hi Ang,
You don't know me, but I wanted to say how sorry I was to hear about your recent loss of Madison. I truly believe that God holds a special place in His Heart for dogs, especially those who bring so much joy into our lives, as Madison did to yours, and also to the lives of all who meet them, and whose hearts they touch. We lost our beautiful and very special black lab Flo in March, and I know how you are feeling. Labradors are very special, and when they leave us, they leave a massive hole in our hearts, and minds, and such a quiet emptiness in our homes that only that particular dog can possibly fill. In time, we may bring home other Labradors in need of a home into our lives, but they have their own specialness, character and uniqueness, so you will always remember your special girl, Madison, because of her uniqueness, and the special place you hold for her in your heart.
I think that Madison, like Flo, was put on this earth to bring joy, and to make people happy. I know that Flo went out of her way to greet people, and is remembered with love by the many students and residents of Lancaster she befriended. Even during her last illness, when she arrived at the Specialist Veterinary Hospital, and was so very sick, when I took her into Reception, she insisted on going up to everyone waiting in turn, and saying hello, making them smile even though they also had very sick dogs at the hospital themselves. That is how special and wonderful Labradors are. They give their all, and as someone else said, they get their wings in Heaven long before we do because they deserve have earned, and deserve them, and one day, I'm sure you will be reunited with Madison. Take strength that she is happy at the start of her next great adventure, and be happy for her, keeping her alive always in your heart always.
With much love,
Wendy xx

Re: Madison
I have come on here first time for ages and am so sorry to read about your Madison. I remember reading about her. Sending hugs and hoping that your memories of her and the knowledge you gave her such a lovely home and life will help you remember her with a smile instead of tears.
