What a gorgeous picture of her. She's beautiful. Can just picture her in Urswick Tarn!! Aldingham is also my boys' favourite place on Earth!! Maybe we'll run into eachother there sometime!! I'm sure her and Kips would get on brilliantly (and Max would run around in his own little world!!)

what a beautiful girl she is, and the rewards for sticking with her and not giving up is certainly worth it. :1944:

Well done you! It does sometimes take a lot of effort and dedication to win rescue dogs over - as has been said you just don't know what has gone on in their previous life. She is just gorgeous too! :1944:

Thanks for all your lovely comments :1944:

Since I last posted Pepper has really come on and is now a most affectionate girl. Our lives revolve around her! Here is a short video clip of her out on a walk on Hest Bank canal

How lovely to read this again we often see the lovely photos of dogs we home but I think stories like this emphasise that there are wonderful people out there prepared to stay the course with a rescue dog even though its hard at first to think in this shy dog there is a loving, trusting dog wanting to come out.
So with these dogs that need extra commitment its very rewarding to know that through your special bond built up slowly you have the satisfaction that you did it for her .

It is sad to say that some people see a rescue dog as quick fix ,lets get a rescue dog but they will clearly say to us I dont want one with problems and state what they want in perfect detaill adding I dont want one with baggage.
I am sorry to say now with so many years under my belt of rescue if people say that to me they are off the list ! not that we dont have dogs without problems just that at rescue we love all dogs with or without their baggage and we want owners to commit not fall at the first hurdle as in last week when a very young dog was brought back after a few days for digging in the garden :?

Peppers owners are a true inspiration and prove that love will conquer all.
Thank you

From us all at rescue.

I can only agree with glenys wholeheartidly, you have done wonders with her,she is a credit to you both,so many people want the "perfect" dog, they dont exist...thankyou for the wonderful video, I had tears in my eyes watching it, she looked so happy...

Now where is this,??? we go to Hest Bank with our two but never seen the canal... :1939:

Thankyou both so much....

Must admit my eyes leaked a bit then. How wonderful to see Pepper so fit and obviously happy. We had confidence issues with Bonnie when we first had her, now she's a different dog. (oh dear, she's just fallen off the sofa and come to mum for reassurance, still a way to go!) :1941:

Well done! :1954:
