Labrador Rescue

Must share this with those of you who support the Cyprus dogs, and Paralimni Pound. I've copied this from Kareen's Facebook page. The volunteers have won a much deserved award for their tireless work helping the dogs. It has come with recognition along with a prize of 800 Euros. Lovely news.

WELL,We won WE ONLY WENT AND DONE IT!! Paralimni Dog Pound won the award for Outstanding contribution to the community award tonight at the local Daxi awards, what can I say! Im so very proud to be a part of this amazing team who tonight we accepted this award on behalf of each and every volunteer who sweats blood and tears for the dogs we care for. At times its so very hard and we do feel like giving up as its an endless task and seems to be getting worse, but to be recognised and receive this award makes a hell of a difference to our moral. We were up against some very serious and tough competition which makes this award even more special. Thank you to each and every one of you who took the time to to vote for us, it means the world to us. Thank you again. x

Brilliant, congratulations to you all.

So pleased the team have had their amazing work recognised. Animal rescue is such hard work anywhere, but when you have local beliefs working against you sometimes as well, it must be a real uphill struggle. I think all these little rescues in Spain, Greece and Cyprus etc do fantastic work.
