Your kind thoughts for Roly please

Hello there,
we were adopted by our lovely lad Roly back in August 2014 and since then he has settled in really well with us and become a much loved family member. He has been away on holiday with us many times and we have had some great times to look back on. Just lately he has been limping a little on one of his front legs and been on medication from the vet to hopefully reduce any inflation in the joint. Unfortunately, he is no better at all and seems to be in discomfort when putting weight on the leg at first when he has been resting, although when out walking he seems ok. He has been back to the vet and has been booked in for x rays on the leg on Thursday to try to find out what is going on. The vet thinks it could be arthritis in the joint or something more sinister so it is a worrying time for us all.
We will be glad when its done and hopefully can get a diagnosis, the not knowing is very difficult for us. Could you please send Roly some healing thoughts and we will report back when we get the results?
Thanks very much in advance.

Just to let you know that we have been through this with Molly :3517:

The diagnosis was arthritis and she is now on pain control meds.

It is a worrying time. Don't be surprised if the vet wants to take bloods too.

If you would like to chat about things, feel free to pm me.

Keeping everything crossed and sending positive thoughts for Roly. :love3:

Sorry to hear Roly is not too good on his leg. Our boy has arthritis he started with limping on his front leg. He will be 13 in June and has only been on medication for just over a year. Try not to worry, I know it's not easy, but you will get through this.

Wow!
What a nice response! Thanks very much to all of you for your kind words. We will of course let you know how Roly goes on, on Thursday. As you know, Labs really do become important family members and its a worry when they are not 100%. We hope its nothing too serious but will deal with whatever happens.
Thanks again.

Oh bless him. All crossed thar it's nothing sinister. I know what a lovely boy Roly is, and how much he's loved.

I'll be looking out for an update, and meanwhile will keep everything crossed.

Big hugs to you all :bighug:
