Hi everybody
After seeing Gleny's picture of 'Pat The Pug' that she had painted by David Pennington, I decided to get an oil done of my dads lab Toby.(Toby is no longer with us) This can be viewed on the home page for David Pennington. The picture that David worked from was realy hard to see some of the detail and he has done us proud. My dad is 'over the moon' with it. David's work is fantastic and very reasonable. He is a realy nice guy. So Thank you Gleny's for posting 'Pat' and the link to David Pennington.
These are the piccys that he has taken of my Connor and Oscar today, I wanted to share them with you all now, and I will post the finished oil when David has done it. David is planning to put the two dogs along side each other. I have asked him if he can also give Connor a nice new right ear!!!! :) Connor was a nightmare to photo - he wouldn't sit still for five mins, even with Gravy Bones! :D They look stunning!
Oscar (I love the spots of rain on his ears)
Connor (This is his good side!)

I will post the final picture in about 3/4 weeks. David is a lovely guy and he is going to put the dogs together in the painting. I love how he has captured Oscar's youth and Connors older angelic face :) I can't wait!!!!

Hi everybody - I have not posted for a while as I have been poorly - I am sure that some of you will have already seen this finished picture on the Lab Home page, under David Pennington's art section. I have not yet collected the finished portrait due to being poorly - I can't wait. David asures me that this picture has proven very popular. I think that it is fab - I am sure you will all agree!!!
Thanks for looking, and Thanks Glenys for introducing this fine artist to me.
