Cosy Nook is an utterly charming cottage with every comfort and convenience. It is situated in a beautiful, tranquil setting with great walks from the door. Fabulous pubs within walking distance too.
Oh and the neighbours aren't bad either..

We are looking for somewhere to escape to in early August and would have loved to have booked Cosy Nook. I'm out of luck on this occasion as it's all booked up at that time.. testament to its popularity

It's a great cottage in a lovely location; would highly recommend

That's a shame Joanna. It would have been good to see you again.
The 10th was only let on Saturday, so just too late.

We've just been allowed to request our holiday dates for next year, at work. All being well I should get the weeks I want. As soon as they're approved I'll be in touch Jackie

Looking forward to seeing you both very soon!

Only two pubs at the moment though I'm afraid. The Royal Oak is for sale.
The Knot is closest and it does excellent pub grub for decent prices (but doesn't allow dogs inside). There is a big garden outside.
A little further afield (about seven miles) is Sutton Hall - highly recommended! We're going this weekend for a friend's birthday meal.

Just a reminder to anyone who doesn't know about Cosy Nook.
Please read the rest of the thread too as there is information and a link.
We now have a remote controlled, cast iron "log burner" for even more cosiness and our local pub The Royal Oak, is now community owned, tenanted to a lovely couple who have employed a really good chef and is well worth a visit.
