Roly's 3rd Gotcha 9th August
Posted: 08 Aug 2017, 22:04
Hello,
We just wanted to mark Roly's 3rd "gotcha" day. He will be 8 years old in October and had seemed to be slowing up a bit earlier in the year. He had swollen joints in his front legs and following X rays the vet advised that he went on metacam and lost some weight to reduce pressure on the joints. The great news is that he has been to the vets tonight for his "weigh in" and has reached his target weight after 4 months! He takes his meds without any problem, is bounding around like a puppy again and looks amazing! The vet has taken a real interest in him and is really pleased with his progress.
Roly goes almost everywhere with us and is coming to a dog friendly hotel in Whitby at the weekend, which we are all looking forward to. We haven't been there before but we are sure he will enjoy the beach and walks. He is a pleasure to be with and we are so glad he adopted us!
Thanks to all at MKF who made it possible. He really does live life to the full now.
Best wishes from Steve, Carolyn and Roly. x
