Ozzie's 7 years Gotcha
Posted: 22 Aug 2020, 14:41
Yesterday marked seven years since we were lucky enough to have Ozzie come to us. He will turn 12 next month. Understandably, he is no longer as energetic as he used to be so, with no dashing about and ball chasing, has developed a little middle-aged spread (but not too much). He still has two walks off-lead every day (whatever the weather) and loves a swim/wade and takes every opportunity to do this in the local ponds or when we visit the beach.
He still enjoys playing with his toys and ‘teddies’ (but from time to time decides they’ll look better without their arms and legs or stuffing!). He also much enjoys ripping bubble wrap (the larger the piece the better) into small bits and goes to great lengths to snaffle it if we are opening a package.
We love Ozzie dearly, even when (as regularly happens), he is wet and/or muddy or has had a lovely roll in fox poo or some other noxious substance. He seems to find it quite astonishing that we don’t appreciate the lovely smell (as he sees it).
Thanks again Ozzie for another year in which you have given us so much.
