Jack & Tess on A'Ghlas Bheinn

Yesterday we headed west to climb A'Ghlas Bheinn. Some of you enjoy seeing the views and all of you love seeing dogs so here are some new pics of Jack and Tess on the hills.
The start of the climb looking towards Loch Duich.

A stalker's path led up to a high col from where we climbed A'Ghlas Bheinn.

The path was steep and hard work in places - I didn't know Tess had such a long tongue!

Once we reached the top of the ridge the path led to the summit. We stopped for lunch half way along the ridge by a tiny lochan which Tess was very pleased about.

As you can see from Jack's ears, it was windy at the top.

Moira, Jack and Tess at summit cairn.

Looking west to the Isle of Skye. The Skye bridge is faintly visible in bottom right corner.

Next Saturday we're off to Italy for a week when a friend on leave from China will be dog-sitting for us. He's a keen hill walker and loves dogs - neither of which he can indulge in China. So he's looking forward to his dog and mountain week and by the time we return Jack and Tess will have notched up a few more Munros to their name. :)
