Charlie - now living in Scotland!

Hello!
Well, we did it - we finally visited MKF on Saturday 10th April, met Carol and were introduced to Charlie. He was ok on the lead and seemed to know basic commands like "sit!" - especially when a biscuit was involved.
Scott and I decided that he was the dog for us and we picked him and took him home to Livingston, Scotland on Sunday 11th. He was good as gold in the car - we stopped after 15 mins so that I could give him a long walk and Scott could refuel the car and get Charlie some water. Once he'd had a drink, he got back in the car, settled down with no trouble and we set off.

We stopped at Tebay for our next rest stop - another walk, a bite to eat for us humans and another drink for Charlie...

He wanted to be close to us during the next part of the journey, so found a way to do so whilst still technically being in the back of the car:

After a snooze (Charlie was snoozing, not us!), we stopped at Abington services in Scotland for a pee break.
We got home an hour after that and introduced him to his new home! He seemed to like it, although his new cushion bed was not to his liking
He had dinner, so did we, then we settled down for a quiet night in front of the TV.

When Scott and I got up to go to bed, we tried to show him where his bed was, but he still didn't like the big cushion bed that we'd bought for him...
We asked him to sit on the rug in the living room instead, which he did. Then we quietly left the room, closed the door behind us and went upstairs to bed. He whined for a couple of minutes, but not too loud, then we heard nothing else from him.
We just lay in bed, wondering how he would be and thinking "oh my word, we're dog owners!!!"

More updates soon.....
