Hello all,
Firstly I would like to apologise for the delay in updating you on Buster's (Buzz) progress

We first met Buster at the Labrador Rescue Centre on Sunday 13th February, he ran up bouncing and wagging his tail pleased to meet everyone and everything. We left the centre shortly afterwards with Buster, his care instructions and the essential supplies of food and medication.

On our arrival home we were greeted by our Jack Russell Terrier Kismet, much to our surprise they ran up to each other wagging their tails. Buster settled in well on his first night and although he did chase the cats a couple of times he did it in an attempt to play, however he quickly learnt that this was not acceptable. Especially when one of the cats hit him on the nose.

And so came round our first morning, I awoke to a sight I have not seen for some time it would seem that the busy day (Sunday) had taken its toll, Buster's stomach had been very upset and I had a lot of cleaning to do. At this point I did begin to worry, however thing's were completely fine the next day and there have been no further problems.

He is a very good dog and he really is trying his hardest to please all the time.
He loves the rope ragger we bought and just loves to pull Kirstie off the chair also pulls Kismet around the floor.

He has improved each day, we are taking him out three times a day for around 30mins most days, sometimes it's twice for 40mins. He has been swimming at Morecambe beach and Crook O' Lune a couple of times, he's a real water baby. He has started to play seek in the garden and when we go over to my parent's on weekends he frightens us because he sets off on one, some how avoiding the pots and pond.

This last weekend we went up to Scotland to visit a very good friend also she has six cats and a male Jack Russell X. I thought this would be good for him as it was somewhere new with different challenges.

We arrived on Friday morning went for a walk on the sand dunes at Balmedie, then it was back to Barbara's to meet the cats well well well!
All went very well in fact he was absolutely wonderful, he found a knuckle bone left by Barbara's dog, who had had it for seven months. Within five minutes it was in three pieces. (fortunately there were no ill effects)

The first night (Friday) he went to sleep in a cat cage well it was more of a small dog cage however the cats use it. Anyway I went of to bed leaving him there with all the doors open. At 3:30 I heard him crying so I got up and he came bounding at me and nearly knocked me over, then he jumped on the bed and lay on me all night. The next night I got a lick on my head and my arm at different times just to make sure I was still there.

So to finish Buster really is a wonderful dog and is day by day winning me over
We found Buster to be very friendly towards people and other dogs, sometimes over friendly.

So very pleased that Buster has found his forever home. I must have missed the topic that he had gone to a new home from Ky's.

Have Buster and behave yourselfe with the cats.

What a lovely update. I saw some photos that Ky had posted when he was lodging with her, and he really is a stunner :love2: :love2: :love2:

Don't worry about him being over friendly :1968: :1968: :1968: . Our Mollie (gone now, bless her) was a bit 'under friendly' with other dogs, and it was quite hard work at times! I havw to say from experience, I'd rather have an over friendly one! :1968: :1968:

So glad Buster has found a wonderful home :love2: I was wondering what had happened to him.

He's a stunning boy and would have loved him myself if only I could have talked the OH round.

Lovely to hear an update on Buzz! He was with us for seven weeks before he went to Ky and I don't think he's got a bad bone in his body!

He was always very exuberant on meeting people and other dogs but that's just Buzz!!

Thank you so much for giving him a new home - he really deserved it! :love3:
