Maggie Butter Lips finds herself in deep water....
Had a bit of a fright this afternoon. Maggie is such good company and so loves the car that I have been taking her out on appointments in the afternoon. Today I was in Cadgwith so decided to let her have a run on the beach. As soon as we arrived, and without me realizing, another dog owner threw a stick for his dogs into the sea and Maggie charged into the water. Within seconds she was in very, very deep water. Totally fearless ......she swam looking for the stick while the other dogs returned to land. Meanwhile I was in total panic wondering if she could make it back. I needn't have worried, she is a brilliant swimmer. Won't be doing that again though in a hurry. Will stick to shallow sandy areas. She had a fabulous time, but I was left shaking on the side of the beach. Maggie for the Olympics, I say — at Cadgwith Cove.

I took my mobile phone with me, and started to snap a few pics, but within seconds she was out there, not a care in the world. After taking the pics, I was rather like a mad woman, jumping up and down on the beach, yelling, "Maggie come here." Fortunately she is very obedient. Thank goodness. Just glad they werent filming down the Cove today, I wouldnt have liked to have been on National TV making a total spectacle of myself. Once she came back I put on the leash, as she was still keen to get back in. I don't think I have ever had such a fit dog. She is amazing!

Sounds just like Simba; if her pups are anything like their Mum; we are going t have two dogs body surfing down the river near us and diving to rescue a stick!
