Re: Simba Introducing Shiva

Post by Simbasmum »

It was a beautiful afternoon and we took Simba to the local park again. He loves it there; everything a Labrador could want - water, grass, water, trees, water, other dogs, water - you know the thing!

I carried Shiva (I'll have muscles the size of Mr America by the time we're finished!) and he really enjoyed the sunshine; we were out nearly two hours and it was time for tea as soon as he got home (fortunately, i had listened to Carol's advice about soaking his biscuits and I cooked some mince today, so the cats had raw mince and the two dogs had cooked with their tea.

We are slowly learning about when he wants the toilet and the accidents are getting less. he slept most of the night (not bad considering the day he had yesterday). What is nice is that everyone stops to say hello to him, but also say hello to Simba; mind you, they don't have much choice as he lies on his back grinning, so he also looks cute!

Shiva had a lovely snooze on my lap, while we sat in the sun - he wants to get down to play but we tell him there isn't long to wait
He is now flat out on the sofa next to me

No; but then he has the advantage of having. A big brother and two cats; although he wants to play with the cats and to say they are not impressed would be putting it mildly!

As I said elsewhere I am having problems taking any photos that don't show him like this! He is settling down and adores his big brother - Simba is very patient but is quite firm concerning his Ted

Hi Stella,
Dont your two just make a superb pair! Jasper is doing just fine - even whines at the door to go out and wee....
Loving every minute of my new friend, I will never forget my Benson and he is never far from my thoughts, but Jasper is as good a tonic as I think you will get.

This is a long update - Shiva has been with us a month and a day; he is an absolute delight, loves his big bro and is twice the size.

Just an update on Shiva - he is growing into a delightful young man - cheeky and mischievous but extremely lovable.
Shiva absolutely adores his big bro Simba and loves to pounce on him ayes and looks t every available opportunity! Simba just exclaims "Puppies!" and lies on his back while Shiva limbs all over him
