Introducing Poppy...

Post by Sharonty »

We are proud to annouce that we have been lucky enough to take a new addition into our family and home! :beerandwhistle: :beerandwhistle: :beerandwhistle:

After waiting awhile, and being too slow off the mark for some lovely puppy dogs, we have finally been blessed with Poppy (was Zuita - Polish name). It's only day 4 but she's settling in really well - apart from a bit of early days clinginess that seems to be passing steadily already; we've even had 2 nights running of quietness :1951: (perhaps lulling us into a false sense of security!!)! We've already been on a little walk in 'The Trough of Bowland'; also to 'Beacon Fell Country Park' (today) where it was absolutely pouring down with rain but we all had a great time splashing in the streams!!

She is a dreamboat with big brown eyes :1971: and a silky coat (which is currently shedding all over the house and garden - a new hoover is in order; and a FURminator! :1968: ).

I don't know how to add pics so if someone can tell me then I'll have a go (I've got plenty already!)!!!

We're all really looking forward to meeting everyone at Funday! :bravo:

Aw - congratulations on the arrival of Poppy! You sound over the moon with her, and you'll have a doggy to bring to Funday :2379:

She's a lucky girl to have gone to Beacon Fell already - it's gorgeous up there, even in the rain. We've also got dog hair all over the place at the moment! Our hoover is just permanently plugged in.

Photos - now you're asking :1968: Let's put it this way - once you get the hang of it, it's fairly easy. It's getting the hang of it that's the hard bit. I couldn't describe how to do it, but someone will definately post and tell you what to do.

Looking forward to seeing Poppy on Funday. :1939:

Oh Sharon, I am so thrilled for you! Poppy is absolutely beautiful, you are so so lucky as I'm sure you know!
I'm pretty sure there's an explanation re posting photos on the 'main site'. If not, I'll leave it to someone more technical to explain :1970: It is a bit of a fiddle but well worth the effort and once you've posted the first set of pics it's like riding a bike.. :1968:

Can't wait to see the images  It sounds like you've had some lovely walks already.

So very very glad you have adopted Poppy.......she looks a gorgeous girl. I'm delighted for you. Beacon Fell & surrounding areas is one of our favourite haunts as well......hope to meet you & Poppy there so as she can get to know our gorgeous Teddy.

Photo posting is a doddle once you know how.....if you're struggling, PM me & I'll give you Garyt's instructions....I cracked it first time with his advice.

So welcome Poppy.....you gorgeous girl.
