Thank you so much for Tia, it is like she has always been here and yet she only arrived on Tuesday afternoon. I can't express my gratitude to you for her and the amazing work you do.

It has seemed like forever to get the right dog. Sometimes there weren't any suitable dogs available for a while and then the ones that were seemed to go really quick and it was frustrating as we knew what a great home we had to offer. I am so glad we were patient because Tia is our perfect match(and my shadow). Gina and Glenys have put up with my sometimes frantic phone calls for a dog and been a great source of knowledge and help. Any potential adopters out there need/have to be patient- believe me i know its difficult but as a wise person once said to me 'its fate, what will be will be and the right dog will come along who is perfect for you' you just have to have patience and trust that Gina and Glenys have yours and the dogs best interests at heart. Its not like ordering a piece of furniture from a catalogue-these are living things someone of whom have been to hell and back-please wait and don't give up because it is the most rewarding things ever.

Thank you so much again.

I couldn't agree with you more. I waited for what felt like an eternity for Lily (it was in fact only 6 weeks) and I also drove Gina and Glenys mad with my phone calls about dogs on the site, to find that I'd been beaten to it or they weren't the right match for me. I had to understand that sometimes all of the information about the dog cannot be put on the site due to either time commitment or sensitivities of the previous owner and so yes TRUST was involved that the team knew what they were doing. Then came the day when they phoned and said "would you come and see Lily?" I was there like a shot!

WELL DONE to the team for matching Tia with her new family!

Thank you so much Jane267 and KatieB for explaining the system so well. I hope this proves everything is worth waiting for in the end.

Trust them all at the rescue, they know what they are doing, and they certainly do their best to try and match dogs with their new families.

Congratulations to you both, and thanks again for explaining so well, why dogs are'nt re-homed just because somebody has requested one.

Welcome Katie and congratulations on adopting Tia she looks a sweetie :love2: she sounds to have settled so well.
I know exactly what you mean when you are waiting to adopt, you become totally obsessed with the computer and looking to see if a new lab has become available, we have all been there but as you say everything is for a reason and when the right lab for you comes along Glenys and the team will pair it with you.

Please keep posting and maybe let us see some photos when you find time as we all love pictures.
Tia sounds as though she has found the perfect home with you and your family.

Hi and welcome to the site

Congratulations on adopting Tia, it certainly sounds like she has made herself at home already.

Thank you too for being patient, like you said the rescue do their very best to make sure that the dog goes to a home which is most suitable, some dogs have been through so much before they get to the rescue it is so important that they go to the right forever home.

Look forward to more updates nd some pics please!
