Hope these come out okay, I am a bit of a nail at this. Took these pics of Charles having his daily swim, he doesn't care if it's in the Sea or River as long as he gets wet !
Thanks Rowena. Charles is 11 and half now but he is still very fit and active. When he is swimming in the river he gathers up any fallen leaves in his mouth then promptly spits them out again when he realises they don't taste that great ! I think he is very happy here with us and we are very happy to have him.
Brother Toby cant walk too far now because of his bad hips and arthritis, but still manages to have a little tussle with Charles in the garden when there is food or a ball about ! Sadly Callum passed away recently as the Vet found during an exploratory operation he had a tumor on his liver so could do nothing for him. Charles seemed a little lost without him for the first few days when we were out on our walks but he is fine now, I think quite enjoying having all the attention and no competition with ladies we meet !!
Sorry to hear about Callum, but thanks for the updated pics, lovely to see him happy...
PS For those new to this forum Charles came to us as his owner had replaced him for a staffy, and then kept Charles outside in a shed, he then wanted to put a extension on the house so Charles had to go, luckily for him he came to us, and we all got quite fond of him and Cathy came to offer him a lovely new home, and he hasnt looked back since... :)
I remember Charles (Chaz as he was then).
He touched my heart :) I don't want to put down in words what I think of his previous "custodians" :angryfire: Or should that be "jailors" ?
Well just look at his lovely, happy, gorgeous old face now! :)
I remember Chaz now Charles also It was a very sad story. Thank goodness for Cathy. He looks wonderful :) :) So happy I bet he thinks all his birthdays have come at once!!!! :D :D
I also cannot put on hear what I think about his previous owners or I may be banned!!!!!!
I am sorry to hear about Callum and hope Charles has helpled you get over the sadness.
