From a very sad girl to a bit of a waggie tail...

Post by Simon »

Well it was all go yesterday  , amongst the shopping, piano practise and lunch I saw Jaffa on the site and that she needed a foster home. We lost our Pip some weeks ago, and had just started looking for a new Lab. As we were all set up for a dog I phoned and offered to foster Jaffa. So within ten minutes of coming off the 'phone we were on our way to MKF.

On arrival we found a lovely, but very very sad Jaffa. Through no fault of her own Jaffa was at the rescue. So after a bit of a chat we set off home. The rest of this is from Jess (as she is known here).

Phew what a day - up early andin the car and off to these kennels. All a bit noisey, lovely ladies called Glenys and Kathryn looked after me and a nice man called Sam. But my Dad had left me there - all very sad and I did not like :(

Then a bit later a lovely gorgeous man appeared (Jess's words you understand :D ) with Glenys and I was free!!! Lead on and in the car - phew off home, so I thought. Well after a bit of a journey we arrived but not at home - to a different new place. Oh poo! I want to go home     . Everyone was very nice and I had a lovely bed, scrummy food and lots of fuss. I decided to wait for my real Dad in the hall way

I was getting sadder and sadder and walking round for someone I knew. I got lots of love and cuddles and was left to wander about. Was quite nice at the new place - just not home! All a bit confussing

Looks like I was here for the night so went to bed. Morning time came and Mr Gorgeous came down and fussed me and I wagged my tail a bit, this caused great joy :flower: Breakfast and then off for a fab walk. When we got home everyone was up, so lots more fuss and then off to see one of my fussers to play football.

We got to go in the car as it was a bit of a way. I like the car

At football I was loved and adored by all the players and their parents Mr Gorgeous was very proud to have me there and made sure I was safe and not troubled by something in a coat - apparantly it was a dog!

All the people cheered because I was there and that my eldest fusser (Oliver) won the match

By now I noticed that my tail wagging is happening lots and I like being with these people. I think I will stay here now, and get loved and fussed and slimed down as I have been told I am too heavy - but it is a lie I am just big boned.

So thank you to the very lovely Glenys and Kathyrn for finding me Mr Gorgeous to take me from the kennels. Oliver and Ewan are in hysterics that I call their Dad Mr Gorgeous - but hey you have to tell the truth.

I will try and get on the PC and let you know what is happening from time to time.
Lots of Love
Jaffa - a lot happier now than I was yesterday
:salute:

Great post and lovely pictures... we were just wondering if we could foster her but now don't need to worry as she seems to have a lovely home with you.

Lovely news so glad she's getting settled and feeling secure. It must be so upsetting for dogs that have been loved to find themselves moved. Looks like she's fallen on all four paws with you though Mr Gorgeous :compress:

Fabulous post Simon, glad Jess has found her forever home (love her new name too). Can't wait to see how she progresses, I'm sure it won't take long before her sadness is replaced with real joy at being part of your loving family.
