update on Molly

Post by mollysmum »

hi everyone, its been a while since I have been on the site although frequently browse. I had forgotten my password and user name but have managed to re register.
We adopted molly in February last year and thought that I`d give an up date.
Molly was a 51/2 months old and proved to be a handful, a real live wire, into everything, stealing food and had no mannars and had no idea how to be a dog. With the help of katie (our black lab) slowly she began to learn.
10 months on and what can I say, she is the most loving, sweet, contented dog, but with the hint of mischief. She still has issues around dog poo and the eating of it, but i`ve learned to accept that this is something that she does and may or may not grow out of it (just have to make sure that her wormers don't elapse). Her recall has improved from my last posting where she joined in picnics and was oblivious to the fact that i was calling her.
At the moment she is asleep on the sofa having been speyed last week and is due her stitches out on Friday, :snooze: and will be glad when she can start getting rid of this pent up energy that she has not burnt off (she enjoys lots and lots of exercise). :3491:
I will try and post some pics later today, of molly and our other lab katie who is now 31/2, who has taught molly so much more that we ever could, but on a final note just want to say that not a day goes when she does not make us smile and our lives are richer from adopting an unwanted dog. We love them to bits :bounce: :1971:
sorry to ramble on and will post pics as soon as i`v remembered how to use photo bucket.

we did not know what to expect, katie our black lab is so laid back that she did take us by suprise, however we are soooo glad we followed our "gut" instinct and the fact that katie seemed to adore her after the first 4 days. Photos will be posted tomorrow, I am looking forward to showing you all my girls!
