Hi again Dave here,
just a little update on Alfie. We have discovered he likes water, especially from the end of a hosepipe. We have a fish pond not a big one holds about 20 fish.It was time to clean and do general maintenance on the pond ready for this year. I'd put all the fish in a holding tank and was cleaning out the pond with a hosepipe. Alfie thought this was great fun trying to bite the water out of the end of the hose etc. I had run out of sterilising agents and pond revitaliser so off I went to the pond centre to get new. I was away twenty minutes and when I got back alfie had decided to chew the hosepipe into three pieces. No harm done, We have forgiven him (who couldn't with those eyes) my fault for leaving the pipe within reach. We will have to get that mischief out of him. apart from that he has settled in very quickly and walks on his lead a treat. We have him registered at our vets now and also insured with Tesco pet insurance. heres a few pics of him at home hope you like them. Thanks again for a lovely Alfie.
Hope we bump into you sometime with Alfie! I recognise where you've taken that outside photo - we walk Blakey down the beach near there! Live just up the road from you.
I looked at his photo on the re homing page and he looked like an adorable loony! he sounds great and whats a few pair of trainers or the odd hose pipe in the whole over view of things???
A gorgeous boy - who has you all wrapped round his paw already!! He looks so settled and I'm sure he will provide endless entertainment. Our Paddy was a nutter in the dog pound but we wouldn't be without the big black pudding, we can't figure why he was abandoned. Good luck with Alfie and enjoy every bit of learning his likes, dislikes, tricks & dodges, honestly it's like having a new baby & taking delight in everything new it does!!
Awww! He looks a little angel. Sorry about your hosepipe. I'm worried now because my hosepipe is stretched right across the garden all day..........................
Fantastic to hear Alfie has settled in well - he looks like he's always been part of the family in those pics! We might venture to the local river or beach with Tasha this weekend - going to put her on the long lead though as although I'm sure she'll be a strong swimmer I don't want to take any chances when we're still getting to know her!
