Great Pictures Kathleen.. We wnet to Italy to Lake Garda in October. When I saw the first picture it made me think of Lake Garda.

Oh yes please Kathleen - I for one would love to see your story again. :1963: Everybody loves seeing your lovely pictures. I remember reading that one. Wonder where it went? (/quote)

I made a mistake and put it on the General Doggy Chat thread not realising these pages move quickly and are not stored - so by September it had been deleted.

PS, I'd also like to know what camera you use because your shots are always crystal clear. (/quote)

Well I take that as a big compliment from you Lynne as I'm always so impressed by the quality of your shots which are much sharper than mine! The family gave me my camera and chose it because it's so tiny (good for climbing) and because I'm old fashioned enough to like looking through a viewfinder! It's a Sony Cyber-shot with a Carl Zeiss lense.

No, nice as it was we didn't stay in Italy - and haven't vanished into cyber space either! It actually rained hard for 3 days at Lake Garda and ironically Scotland had good weather that week. Haven't any new Jack and Tess hill walks to report as things go quiet between October and April unless you're into ice axes, crampons and risk of avalanche - which we're not. Should hopefully get going again in May.

Back in November someone asked to see the story of the dogs' Ben Nevis climb but because I hadn't put the report on this thread it had been deleted. At the time I wondered if I should re-post something about it since it had been a fund raising event which could possibly give others the idea to do something similar? But then again it's "last year's news" and I couldn't quite muster the enthusiasm. What do you think?

I thought it was a brilliant fund raising event, well worthy of another mention. It was an amazing achievement....

Lovely pictures. Can't believe the Rowan tree in them - full of leaves and berries - the ones round here (and in my garden!) are all still bare.

Absolutely brilliant photos, what stunning scenery and your dogs look great as always, Kathleen. I'm envious - couldn't do the climb OR the photography. (only boats - I did an 1100 mile sponsored sail once, Maxie came with me, she got far more attention than I did!)

Would love to read about your Ben Nevis climb again.

Where on west coast are you triomum? You're probably not all that far from us.

We love the west coast - you have the best beaches there and sunsets to die for.
