Kia has a new home

Post by drof »

We adopted Kia, now Kyle on Tuesday to keep Charles ( we adopted him just over a year ago ) company. Charles was feeling a little down as we had just lost his companion Toby, so Charles and I went to MKF to meet Kia. Both dogs seemed fairly relaxed with each other so we set off back to North Wales. When we got home, Kyle, despite having had a good walk before we got back, was like a dog with Duracell batteries, bounding over furniture, jumping up at worksurfaces pinching all the toys....Charles was not too pleased! we had a lot of snarling and barking going on, so it was time to put Ceasar Milan's teachings into practice!! Kyle responded so well he is such a great dog eager to learn and please and within 24 hours harmony, even licking each others faces and sharing toys. I think they are going to be great pals. We are really pleased with Kyle he is settling in so well, he seems very happy in the short time he has been with us, I think it is new to him to have a lot of time and attention paid to him and he is responing to that very well. Thanks to Kathyrn for letting us have the little fellow. Here is a couple of pics.Image

iee beds are made by coolaroo, they are really good for older dogs as they support their weight and keep them off the floor. The beds are easy to look after, can just be hosed down, as they are very light I put them in the garden when the weather is good, so the boys have their own sun loungers. I put a piece of vet bedding on the top to make them more comfy.
They come in 3 sizes.

Great pics and good news that Kyle has settled into the family well. It's good to hear that an initially fraught entrance into the house soon calmed down! :1944:

Great to see Kyle enjoying his new home :1945: Look forward to more updates.

I love his bed too. I'm fed up of buying dog beds that end up like pancakes after a while :2012:

What size do you have for your boys, medium or large?

The beds I have are medium, they are a fine for my dogs. Charles is a big boy and weighs about 32 kgs, Kyle is a minature lab, he is only weighing in at 23 kg. When next to each other Charles and Kyle look like father with his young puppy.

By the way if anyone noticed hair missing on Kyles leg it is because he had the OP on Friday, but you wouldn't know it, he is racing around like nothing as happened, he decided to ignore the Vets advise to take things easy for a while!! He is also world champion at speed eating, I have never seen a dog eat so fast, the food has gone in the blink of an eye!

We love him :1971: :1971:
