KICK START THE ECONOMY fao g20 conference
This is perfect.....
Patriotic Retirement - This Would Work:
This was an article from the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper on Sunday. The Business Section asked readers for ideas on "How Would You Fix the Economy?"
I thought this was the BEST idea.
I think this guy nailed it!
Dear Mr. Brown,
Patriotic retirement:
There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force; pay them £1 million a piece severance with stipulations:
1) They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They buy NEW cars. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.
3) They either buy a house or pay off their mortgage- Housing Crisis fixed.
All this and it's still cheaper than the "bailout".

How absolutely fantastic is that thought!!!!
See if some ordinary man can think of this then why can't those in charge!!!! Mind you first you do need common sense and the powers that be seem to be lacking in that!!!
But they are good at spending our hard earned money!!!

Hmmm! I've just had another thought. Madonna is worth at least £300 million - if she gave every person in the UK even half a mil each we could kick start the economy and she wouldn't even feel a dent in her bank balance.

If she has 300 million and she gives half a million to each person then she could only give it to 600 people.
I have just been down town and I am sure I saw more than that there!
Of course she could just say stuff you lot and give me £50 million and I'll send you all a Christmas card with a £5 in it.

Errrrr........no! how did you guess!!!!
Anyway, it's the thought that counts. She is far too rich for her own good. I meant thousands not half a million. I was getting carried away! LOL!
