Rosie

Post by molliemoo »

Just to update you all on how Rosie ( http://www.homealabrador.net/bb/viewtop ... =12&t=5018) is getting along after bringing her home 2 weeks ago tomorrow.

She was a very scared little girl when we brought her home but she is making great progress and is fast becoming a happy confident little dog now. Shes been to the vets and been chipped and vaccinated too. Shes still particuarly scared of strangers and blokes especially but when she knows you shes very happy to wag her tail and play with her ball which is lovely to see given that she was so overwhelmed with our house initially! I have some photos of her which ill post tomorrow. She is also proving to be excellent with the cats which is great as Bruno was a little horror with them :1944:

This is such lovely news. I love to hear about dogs flourishing into happy and settled dogs once they are given the love they need. You are obviously doing a wonderful job caring for her. :1954: :1954:

Right I have pics at last - bit of an overload now! Although she is one of those dogs who just doesnt 'pose' for photos so you just cant get her to look at you!

Here is Rosie in her bed, her favourite :1939:

This is when we took her out on a local walk so she could have a paddle in the river, she just loves water!

This is walking through our hay field, she loves to run through the long grass

Shes making progress all the time, still a long way to go though, she is still scared of alot of things and is very nervous when you take her out somewhere where theres people, cars, buildings etc, she also still barks at and keeps out of the way of strangers or people she isnt used too, but we're hopeful this will improve in time. Still havnt let her off the lead yet outside of the yard and garden area, I hope too soon though, I just want to know she wont take fright and run off first!

She is so good with the cats, she is pretty scared of them and keeps a distance so this is great for them!
