Hi Lorna, I can see the pictures now. Fudge looks adorable. :1973: The video was good, she looks as if she is not quite sure about the water.

Fudge has been looking very sorry for herself this evening :( but has been so good. The vet nurse said she had been fine when I picked her up at about 4.30. She has not cried which I had expected her to do, not even a little whimper.

Don't think she is very impressed with her big collar, though. She just keeps looking at me with those sad eyes and has slept most of the evening. She has eaten some boiled rice and chicken and seemed to have enjoyed that, has had a little wander round the garden just now for a wee and has settled back into her bed. Hopefully she will go back to sleep ok, she still looks a bit of a sleepy head. Anyway, just hope I can keep her calm tomorrow after the anaesthetic has worn off cos so far she has been a very bouncy, waggytailed girl. :thumbright:

Thanks for all your good wishes. Will update tomorrow.

Hi all
Fudge is a lot happier this morning. :1956: I came down first thing and she was very chirpy and pleased to see me. She did not cry in the night as I thought she might - I keep pinching myself as I can't believe how good she is. She ate all her breakfast and is only allowed in the garden at the moment. I think she has been wondering why we haven't been out anywhere today, she keeps looking at me all expectantly. I just keep telling her she will have to wait and just take it easy for now. She is fast asleep in her bed at the moment so I have closed the door in case she decides to follow me upstairs (vet says no stairs for now). All the other labradors I have had in my life have never come upstairs - just what we decided to do, but I have allowed Fudge to come up to the little study so she can lie at my feet while I am on the computer, but not today.
This is a photo from last night when she was a sleepy girl - I am pleased to say she is still my friend and I got big licks when I came down this morning!!! :love5:
