A Message from Skye

Post by andrea »

I want everyone to know how happy I am in my new home. I live with my new Mam and Dad in a nice house with a big garden, we live just by fields that lead to an 11 mile beach. My Mam is an early riser like me so we go to the beach at 5 am, it is nice and quiet then we don't see many other dogs then, which is good because I still get a bit nervous of them. When we get back I have my breakfast and then I go for another walk with my new friend Reuben, he is a 9 year old black labrador, that is part of my new extended family. Mam and Dad are at home all day and they like walking so we go for a walk every few hours and I have such freedom that I can run forever. There are 3 Grandchildren that come come to visit a lot and I like to play with them. The youngest one has nicknamed me "Bumpy Dog" after the dog in Noddy because I jump around so much and get into mischief!

I had to have an operation but I am fine and have had my stiches out now, so I can start to run and swim again. The vet says that I should take it for a few weeks, but I don't think I will!

My Mam and Dad want to say a BIG THANK YOU to my previous owner for loving me and for caring me for my first 5 years. I am very happy in my new home and I am grateful that they were strong enough to do what was best for me. Mam and Dad are incredibly grateful to Labrador Rescue for bringing us all together.

Love and Wags
SKYE

Thank you for letting us know how you are Skye. Looks like you have a lovely life and I can see that you have worked out that if you stand on tip toes you can see over the hedge :1970:

Lovely update and what a beautiful girl she is, her coat is so shiney :love5: . George is very jealous that Skye has a walk on the beach each morning - so am I :1967: :1967: our nearest beach is about 2 hrs away :2006:

She sounds really settled and certainly looks very happy.

Oh, Skye, you are a beauty. And you look so cheeky too, peering over the hedge. Sounds like you've got very lucky in your new home.
