Barney's Day Out

Post by Bold Barney »

Well Barney had a day out today. The sun was shining and he jumped into the back of the car. He didn't know where he was going but we did. Left Washington at 9.30 and arrived at our destination at 12.30...half an hour later than expected..how is it you can navigate across country with no problem , then as you near the end you become completely and utterly lost, but eventually, after several three point turns and much criticism of the map reader..ME!!!!we arrived...AND........... :hello1: :hello1: :hello1: :hello1: :hello1:

we were met by ????????????? :2039: :2039: :2039:

KATHRYN,Sam and Glenys!!!! YEAHHHHHHHH. :hello1: :hello1: :hello1: :hello1: :hello1: :hello1:

Barney now has a big sister...currently called ' Baileys' as in the alcholic drink..but not for long I'm afraid.

So we are home and it has been very busy and exciting...both dogs so tired but won't give in. Now Baileys is in the Utility Room and Barney is under the stairs....A battle of wills is underway so the next few days will be interesting!! I've taken photos but I'm too tired to upload them at the moment.

thanks to KY for collecting her and transporting her to MKF and to Kathryn and Glenys for everything. :1963: :1963: :1963: :1963:

DAY 2 in the Barney and Bailey's household..... :hello2: :hello2:

Well after a hectic day and a long walk and run in the field Barney and Baileys settled to bed. Barney in his usual place under the stairs and Baileys in a new bed in the Utility room. After all the rumping and humping we thought it better to have them sleep apart and it worked a treat. They must have been really ezhausted because they refused to give in even to a short nap yesterday. So we had a quiet night.

Peter took them both out this morning and let them off on the field...Barney chasing his ball and Baileys sort of hobbling along...she is really funny to watch. She is a bit overweight and I don't think has had much exercise. I have just taken them both out same as this morning and they were great on the lead...what a relief...only troubel was on return when Barney started the humping again

Baileys is lovely but needs an MOT as her coat is in a right state, her gums are inflamed and toenails need a pedicure...so she'll go to the vets for a makeover and Barney will go for the chop!!!! :dontknow: :dontknow:

Only problem today was Baileys had a wee in the conservatory where I had the Sunday papers laid out so I suspect she's been left all day and paper train.

Another worrry is she pants a great deal, drinks alot of water and sneezes a lot. I'll post pics soon.
