Puppy Reuben Now

Post by Northwood »

We thought it was about time you all got to see how our little chap is getting on, so we've posted some photo's mostly from our walk earlier today.

As you can see Reuben has grown a lot and he's a proper character now. He and Niamh get on famously, the photo with Charlie the cat doesn't really truly reflect their relationship, he still spends most of his time bouncing around her trying to get her to play.
He has completed his Puppy Foundation course, this week he started again going for Bronze and he's doing really well. Of course the star pupil does still tend to forget himself when relaxing at home. The 'Leave' command went right out of the window a few weeks ago when just as I was about to leave to pick Niamh up from school Reuben found a dead squirrel that the cat had left in the garden, it was one of those awful double take moments when you think "what has he got in his mouth", then the penny dropped and a chase ensued. After around 20 laps around the garden on a hot day I finally managed to retrieve the soggy squirrel and arrived at school looking like I just gone backwards through a hedge.
We still have our moments but on the whole he's a super lad and we love him to bits, he's growing into a fabulous chap who loves everyone and enjoys the company of other dogs.

Hope you like the photos.

What a handsome boy he is :love5: I love the story of the dead squirrel, thank goodness he didn't eat it :2026:

Sounds as if he is doing really well with his training, he really is a stunning pup.

Isn`t he just gorgeous :2026: Thank you so much for the update. For anyone who isn`t sure who Reuben is, he is one of Rose`s pups (Christmas presents with waggy tails). :1945:

He is beautiful!! :love6: I did love his mum too! :love5:
I wish Alfie and Bailey didn't feel the need to chase cats! They sometimes see one when Robert takes them out last thing at night then they pull him home the rest of the way! :1966:

O'h isn't he just gorgeous :love2: :love2: I wish Millie didn't think cats were put on the earth as a form of entertainment for her, and they are to be chased :dontknow: :dontknow: . He's so good sitting there with him

What lovely photos, Reuben is gorgeous :love2:

We have a Reuben here (choc lab) who certainly wouldn't sit still like that with a cat so close :1967:
