Julius progress from his new home.

Post by SallyWarton »

Hi, It's Sally Julius's (now called Olly) new Mum. Well aren't I the luckiest person around, he is currently down stairs lying on his new bed having settled in with virtually no bother. I have had to put my limited DIY to the test because I discovered a 4ft gate was not a problem for him to get over so he is now secure with two 6ft gates which have done the trick.

I think he's probably come from a urban environment, but deffinitely somewhere without cows, on first viewing they did look a tad menacing but he's now moderately curious when we go past.

He's a bright lad and picks things up quite quickly, he'll no doubt start to push the boundries a bit when he's feeling more secure but at the moment we are doing well.

Planned for the future are walks with local friends and their collies up on the the hills and a regular trip to the west coast of scotland to walk along the beach with Dell the springer spaniel rescued from Dumfries and Galloway. He will also join me on the days I do holiday cover for the receptionists at the local vets and become one of the dog team with his photo on the wall in reception.

I hope I've posted this in the right place perhaps some one would let me know if I should be leaving messages somewhere else.

Photos will follow soon.

Hello Sally.
Thank you so much for giving this boy a chance. The brief time he was with me he was a star. We took him for walks and he was not bothered about either sheep or cows but was very interested in my chickens :1966: :1966:
I am pleased he has settled after his traumatic journey to get here as it cannot have been pleasant being in a van in the hold of the ferry in a storm and then to be stuck out at sea for a further 3 hours because of the weather must have been terrible.
You do realise that when you take him to Scotland he will have done the whole of the British Isles--he came from Ireland then across to Wales then to England and so Scotland completes the set.
I wish you all the happiness in the world with him as he really is lovely.
Give him a big love from me. :love2:

Hi Sally and welcome to the site. :hello2:

Glad Olly is settling in so well. It'll be interesting to hear how he gets on when he feels secure enough to let his character come out, I'm sure he won't be an angel all the time! :1967:

Looking forward to pics. :1961:
