Carolyne - see the last photo, does it remind you of anybody?

Meant to add - she doesn't look her age does she? Bess is 10 with the attitude of a labrador half her age. She's adjusting to the regime in this household now and is such a clever dog - she picks up what you want very quickly. And a dream in the car - lies down when the engine starts and stays put until the engine stops.
She means a lot already. My husband has been on dog walking duties as I'm a bit under the weather at the moment with lupus and says she is very good on the lead. We've had our moments as she and Billy jostled for position but, touch wood, that seems to be past now.

I wish I knew the secret of her being so good in the car - I'd bottle it and sell it! Make my fortune I would 'cos I've never been able to get a dog to be that good. Ali - really like the idea of white van man having a conversation with your Max that's put a big smile on my face. Must admit I wave to dogs when I'm driving and they are looking out the back window at me. Poor hubby is convinced he's married to a loony.

Ethel - you're not alone in the waving at dogs in the back of cars thing - I do it too!! My other half also thinks I'm "nuts". I prefer "charmingly unusual" though!

Lovely pics Ethel. Your right Bess certainly looks much younger than 10. Sorry your not feeling well enough to walk the dogs, hope you get well soon.

Ethel

that last picture of bess is the living image of Ben you lost in June - its spooky how like him she looks!!

She landed on all 4 paws in Yorkshire with you - thankyou from the bottom of my heart for adopting her - it was very interesting how Bess and her sister Darcy had not forgotten each other that morning you came to my house.

Huge hugs to Bess and Billy from their Aunty Carolyne xxxx
