Three weeks on....

I've been posting news of Bob as many of you will know and it has just struck me that someone commented (possibly Glenys?) that I would see Max in Bob at some point. In fact, he seems to have mannerisms of all four of my previous labs and the story so far is:-
Betsy (1976 to 1988) battery-operated tail (Duracell in Bob's case!), ability to open cupboards and doors as evidenced by Bob this morning when he opened two outside doors to see where I had gone and yesterday when he decided to have a look at what is kept in the cupboard under the sink.
Rosie (1988 to 1999) absolutely loopy when excited. Bob has an A* in this particular mannerism. When excited his brain turns into candy-floss and he forgets his own name.
Polly (with me from 2000 to 2007) my little mate. More than the usual labrador desire for food. Polly used to paw her bowl to make it rattle as a reminder that it was dinner time just in case I forgot whilst Bob tries to hoover the food through the gap in the cupboard door by sniffing harder than anyone would believe possible.
Max (with me from 2000 to 2008). Complete and utter desire to be loved, cuddled, stroked and generally made a fuss of (Bob also has an A* in this category). Adoration of coal fire.
And that is in just three short weeks. I wonder what else will come to light? I just hope it's not the wall-eating, carpet un-ravelling and curtain tugging of my three girls!
Has anyone else noticed similarities in their dogs?
