Frank sits like Scooby Doo - do all Labs?

Frank sometimes, when he's being really cute and friendly...even more so than usual...sits up straight on his haunches, just like Scooby Doo. Do other labradors do this; is it safe for his back, his legs etc...we always support his front paws when he does this. Do we need to try to stop him doing it? He really likes to greet us like this first thing in the morning
He is in great shape otherwise and getting fitter....
However the great lummox that he is somehow managed to wedge himself
BEHIND a radiator...not easy when your a barrel chested 6 stone lab! Wasn't easy getting him out, fortunately neither the central heating system nor Frank were injured during this (mis)adventure...there is a box there now to stop him lying under the rad.
Any advice on the Scooby Dooby Doo-ing gratefully received
Thanks
Grace n Dave

I'm glad there are at least three Scoobies now. Frank was sprawled on his back when his leg disappeared behind the radiator.
Pippin the cat is in front of the fire this evening for the very first time since Frank came to live with her...how long before they are curled up together on the rug I wonder. frank is onhis crashing out mat in the corner...snoring!

So Frank isn't as unique as we thought...well not in his scooby Doo-ing.
This Pippin, Franks 'friend'. Although he is no friend of hers!!! (He stole most of dinner this evening)

My labs have never done that but my neice's rescue lab, Ben, does it all the time, he waves his paws at you until you have to give in and cuddle him. I wondered if it could hurt his back but he doesn't seem to get any pain from it.
Frank is gorgeous fancy getting stuck behind the radiator, now Khan would have been in a panic and would probably have took the radiator off the wall. What a good boy to wait for you to get him out - bless.

Wow, what a gorgeous boy he is, sooooo handsome. And so cute the way he sits like that - I havent seen a Lab do that before.
Meg does stand on her head though, desperately waving her back legs trying to get them off the ground. She can usually get one in the air, but sometimes she manages both, and then falls over...of course.
Labradors eh?
