Well it's been a few months now since we took this older lady home with us.
She has had a few hiccups.. with a couple of little bites on the other dogs (and her), but I think we are starting to get somewhere with her.
She is desperate for attention but is calming down now although we still haven't cured the barking problem at night or when we go out.
She does respond better to a quite voice than having a loud telling of or request to do something.
We think she is still a little insecure.

For all her faults we love her and will persevere.. heck this morning she didn't bark till 6 am so she was a good hour and a half late!

Now that's dedication Gary, well done for sticking by her, she sounds lovely....forget about the early morning barking the lighter mornings are on their way so you may as well be up enjoying them

Can't say I would be too pleased, my two were waiting for me at 7:30am, Maggie usually paws the guard we have to stop them going to the bedrooms - that is her way of saying 'Isn't time you were up?'

She looks and sounds so lovely. We are so lucky with Balee he is such a Blanket Back even when we get up he is not in a hurry to go out.

You are lucky to get an early morning call.
Taffy is bone idle in the mornings.
A couple of times I have been thinking of CPR to get him moving.
He should have been supplied with jump-leads.

Mr L is sleepy in the mornings and has to be called from his bed for his breakfast


Molly on the otherhand comes and knocks on our bedroom door when she thinks we should be up, this can be anything from 6.00am onwards - we have learnt we can ignore her but if she cries she needs to be let out and then we can come back to bed

i am lucky in that respect. my bailey doesnt bark[we got him from the rescue nov 08] but does make himself known in other ways. he will bang his head on any door if he needs a love or wee, mainly at 6 in morning to go out. i do think with time and routine Jess will settle, as long as u dont give her treats to keep her quite[as my mum did, wow wont even go there] [spoiled dog] love and time can usully concure all, wishing you the best, lv jill boo n family 2
