Taffy got his holiday breakfast treat(a sausage) plus cos it was HOT HOT HOT an icecream in the afternoon.
P.s. Please dont tell the dietition at hearing dogs!.
Foot note to our original posting.
We booked Half board and Taffy being an assistance dog was allowed in the dining area.
We keep him away from the food counters and tell him to go under the table where there is room.
At our mealtimes Taffy had a visitor,a boy of about 10 or 11 who came and stroked and talked to him for about 10 mins.
After 2 days his mother came over to ask if he was being a pest.
She explained he was Aurtistic? and loved dogs.
That explained why we could not understand his speech,we thought it was our problem.
We explained that Canine Partners train dogs For Aurtistic children.
Hi Dave,
Mummy was a large(standard) Poodle and Daddy was a Dachshund.
Dont ask me how they managed to shake paws!
In the States this is known as a "Doodle".
He was one of a litter of ten pups donated by a breeder.
Four have gone on to be Hearing dogs and the rest rehomed.
We think Taffy takes after his father(low trainerbility) as he has been hard work to train and has a stubborn streak.
He does not moult so you dont need a Dyson.
He loves children,He has two for his breakfast.!
We have had to stop him answering the phone, his hand writing is terrible.!
He is a great companion,as someone on this site says he wags his tail instead of his tounge.
